In 2011, the German two Lower Rhine natives, Niklas and Georg, bumped into each other at a party and hit it off over their mutual love for techno, house, and especially one thing: vinyl.
That meeting sparked their collab project “Emilio Safredo.” After kicking off their own party series and opening the similarly named underground venue “Tonlager“, they began their own productions in 2014 at a studio in Düsseldorf based artist location „Weltkunstzimmer“.
In 2015, they released their first tracks and remixes on Heideton Records. The sound of Emilio Safredo consistently reflects influences from dub-techno, techno, and a solid dose of house, which is shaped by the early musical influences of Niklas, who chops on the piano and Georg’s skills on the drums — from punchy percussions to lush chords.
Besides their residency at their own series “Tonalger,” Emilio Safredo has played at various open-air events and festivals over recent years and summers, such as Frohnatur, Heile Welt Openair, City of Flowers, or Freiluftvergnügen, primarily showcasing their hallmark and shared passion: vinyl-only.
