Despite being a bank employee and secretary most of her working life, Martine has been creative at heart since her teenage years. Drawn to abstract drawing & painting between 1965-75, she never truly explored her talent in all its depth as life somewhat drove her to follow a different path. Fast forward to 2007 when Martine picked up the brushes again, and this time it was to delve into the art of watercolor painting.
Mother to label founder Julien (aka YokoO), Martine has been proudly working on Satya from the get-go, featuring her work on early vinyl record sleeves and now digitalized artworks for all EPs, compilations and miscellaneous materials. Always adding that splash of gentle yet profound color into everything she does, Martine is and will forever be an integral part of Satya’s brand identity.
